Peaceful walk through the trees at Andersons Eco Retreat—where adventure begins just outside your door

★★★★★ “11/10, couldn’t recommend more highly.”
"Wow, what a special place! We walked into a lit fire and music playing with a freshly cooked brownie on the table — it felt so warm and welcoming. The accommodation is absolutely stunning with views out to the forest at every angle. Even better than the pictures. Think this has to be our best ever Airbnb, and we’ve stayed at quite a few. As my partner said, it isn’t just somewhere to stay — it’s an experience."

Bushwalking Trails

Great Valley Track - 2Km loop from the front door of the cabin. Approx 45-minute walk. Medium grade with several steep sections.

Secret Valley Track - 1km return from the Great valley junction. Approx 25-minute walk. Starting with a short steep section, then mostly level to the bridge and return.

Lookout Track - 2.1km return from the secret valley junction. Approx 1 hour walk. Experienced walkers only. Slippery when wet. Steep incline all the way to the top of the property.

Lots of offsite walking trails to choose from, a favorite of ours is the aqueduct trail to Freemans Mill.  Short drive from the retreat. It's about 13.5km return so experienced walkers only. Great place for a picnic lunch. Reach out via the contact us page to enquire about picnic hampers and other ideas.

Float Therapy

Relax and unwind in the warmer months "Float Therapy" experience. Float on the pond in a comfortable rubber tube, surrounded by forest and the soothing sounds of running water. It’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in nature and find complete tranquility.

Swimming

Go for a swim in our spring fed swimming hole. Or take a seat on the jetty and watch the fish swim by (sorry no fishing). Keep an eye out for our resident turtle. Swimming is at your own risk. Entry into the water is via the beach or jetty only.  Inflatable tubes and other flotation devices such as noodles are provided and stored in the pavilion.

We encourage all guests to choose their own pace

For some, the greatest joy is in exploring the surrounding region — from forest trails and waterfalls to charming local towns and unique attractions. For others, the perfect escape means staying right here, where the beauty, peace, and activities at the retreat make it easy to unwind without stepping beyond the property. Whether you’re seeking adventure or simply craving stillness, there’s plenty to discover — near and far.
